Neroli Essential Oil, Pure and Natural

Botanical Name: Citrus bigardia

General description of Neroli Essential Oil:
An evergreen tree up to 10 metres (33ft) high with a smooth grey trunk and branches, dark-green, glossy, oval leaves, small fruit and deeply fragrant white flowers.  

Extraction of Neroli Essential Oil:
The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the freshly picked flowers.  

Description of Neroli Essential Oil:
It is pale yellow, mobile liquid. It blends well with bergamot, chamomile, clary sage, cedarwood, coriander, geranium, jasmine, lavender, lemon, melissa, rose, rosemary, spikenard, petitgrain, frankincense, ylang ylang. Neroli essential oil is a plant oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium subsp. amara or Bigaradia). Its scent is sweet, honeyed and somewhat metallic. The blossoms are gathered, usually by hand, in late April to early May. The oil is produced by water distillation, as the blossom is too fragile to endure distillation with direct steam.   Main therapeutic properties of Neroli oil: Anti-depressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, anti-spasmodic, powerful bactericidal, carminative, cicatrisant, cordial, deodorant, digestive, mildly fungicidal and hypnotic, nervine, sedative, stimulant, tonic.  

Uses of Neroli Essential Oil:
Skin care:  Scars, stretch marks, thread veins, palpitations, mature and sensitive skin, wrinkles, tones the complexion.
Nervous system: Anxiety, depression, nervous tension, PMS, shock, stress -related conditons.  

Effects of Neroli Essential Oil:
Neroli is calming, fresh and uplifting, especially for those who are easily agitated, emotionally unstable or insecure and it eases the intensity of strong emotions. Neroli is often associated with the qualities of innocence and purity and it inspires creativity. It is a useful aid to meditation and facilitates spiritual healing.
